My name is Bardhyl Morina, I am 41 years old, married, and have two sons. I come from Kosovo, a country with about 95% Muslim population. I was born in a village in the Prizren region, where almost all the inhabitants are Bektashi Muslims.

I was born with a very serious syndrome, and people affected by this disease usually live only until age 30–33. During my childhood and youth, I had many health problems. However, I was always someone who sought God and continually tried to know Him. After the Kosovo war, I became a practicing Muslim, but I did not find true peace with the Creator.

In September 1999, I came into contact with evangelical missionaries from Italy and Albania. In them, I saw a special and sincere love. At first, I was an opponent of Christ, but God worked with me with patience and love, through the Holy Spirit and the brothers in faith.

From the autumn of 1999 until the spring of 2002, God continued to work in my life. I realized that I was a sinner and needed a Savior, Jesus Christ. From that day, my life changed profoundly, both spiritually and physically.

From the moment of my conversion, a very harsh persecution began, especially from the person who had supported me all my life during my illness: my mother. She mistreated, persecuted, and beat me several times to force me to renounce my faith, because for her and for the environment, changing religion was “the greatest shame.” I was the only case in the entire region, where almost everyone was Muslim.

Despite everything, God strengthened me, protected me, and healed me from the syndrome. Today I am 41 years old, I enjoy good health, and I have two sons who have not inherited this disease. Since I met Christ, the desire of my heart has been to serve Him with all my life and to love people as He loved us.

In 2013, my wife and I decided to serve God. We started in our home, first with children and then with adults. God touched the hearts of children, men, and women, despite living in a very difficult Muslim context.

In 2019, God provided a rented facility where the Church of God could meet. Finding a place for a church was very difficult; once we were forced to move because the neighborhood pressured the owner, saying: “We don’t want a church here, because we are all Muslims.” But God provided another place.

Today I serve together with my wife as a missionary in Prizren, in a small church with about 20 believers. I ask you to pray for us and for our service, as we work with the poor, widows, and people in need.

Among the church’s activities in Prizren, we have two evangelization ministries in the village of Gjonaj and in Dragash, where we pray that new testimonies may be born.
