Berisha
The Berisha family serves the Lord in Albania, dedicating themselves to proclaiming the Gospel and to the spiritual and social care of people, particularly in the most impoverished and marginalized contexts.
Enver and Manushaqe Berisha grew up during the Communist dictatorship, in a context marked by state atheism and the absence of religious freedom, despite coming from families with a Muslim tradition. Both embarked on a personal spiritual journey that led them to the encounter with the Gospel and to faith in Jesus Christ as the only Savior. Their conversion profoundly transformed their lives and gave rise to a clear call to missionary service.
In 1995, after getting married, they left their jobs as teachers to dedicate themselves full-time to the Lord’s work. Over the years they have served in various neighborhoods, villages, and cities in Albania, extending their ministry also to Kosovo. Their service has included evangelism, Bible teaching, radio ministry, and prison work, in both male and female facilities.
Since 2017 they have been operating in a poor neighborhood of Tirana, inhabited predominantly by Roma families, and in a neighboring peripheral village. Here, thanks also to their experience in teaching, they dedicate themselves to literacy programs for children and adults, school support, and family guidance, combining practical aid with the proclamation of the Gospel. The Christian community they lead today counts baptized adults, children, and teenagers.
Since 2020 they have also been overseeing a group of believers in the Manza area, near Durrës, while the evangelistic work in prisons continues.
The Berisha family desires, according to the Lord’s guidance, to continue opening new testimonies, so that the message of salvation in Christ can reach more and more people.
Morina
The Morina family serves the Lord in Prizren, in southern Kosovo, in a context with a strong Muslim majority, where Christian witness still today involves challenges, social isolation, and persecution.
Bardhyl and Izete Morina both come from Muslim families and grew up within the Islamic culture and traditions of Kosovo. Through a personal journey of spiritual searching and the encounter with the message of the Gospel, they came to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, a choice that profoundly marked their lives and led them to dedicate themselves to Christian service.
Since 2013, they have responded to God’s call by starting a missionary work in Prizren. The first meetings took place in their home, later extending to children, adults, and families. Despite the difficulties related to the religious and social context, God opened the way for the birth of a small Christian community.
In 2019, it became possible to rent a facility where the church could meet regularly. Today, Bardhyl and Izete serve as missionaries in a church made up of about twenty believers, dedicating themselves to the proclamation of the Gospel and to supporting people in need, particularly the poor, widows, and vulnerable families.
In addition to the work in Prizren, the church is involved in evangelization activities in other villages in the region, with the desire to see new testimonies of faith established.
